Officially...

"National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWCs) are credentialed members of the healthcare industry who serve as behavior change agents and are trained to the highest standard in the profession. As partners with clients in the behavior change process, NBC-HWCs empower, support, and guide individuals looking to enhance their well-being through self-directed lasting changes that align with their values.
National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWCs) engage individuals and groups in evidence-based, client-centered processes that facilitate and empower clients to develop and achieve self-determined, health and wellness goals. Coaches assist clients to use their own insight, personal strengths, and resources to set goals, commit to action steps, and establish accountability in building an envisioned healthy lifestyle."

But what does this actually mean to you? What can health and wellness coaching do for you?

Basically, Health and Wellness coaches work with individuals in achieving goals to a happier and healthier lifestyle. This doesn't necessarily mean that we'll work together to get you walking 5 miles a week and eating 2 servings of vegetables every day. (but it can!)

It does mean that we will examine areas of your life that can feel stressful, over -or- under-whelming, and help you to discover ways in which YOU can improve those areas of your life.

Sometimes, those specific goals can be around helping you find time for yourself, or getting past places you may be feeling stuck or in a rut, or working towards things that always seem just out of reach.

Health and Wellness encompasses body AND mind, and my goal is to help you get to a place of peace and enjoyment, which can include a healthy mind and body.
